Eligible Tasks for Apprentices

Apprentices do NOT perform any task requiring a state license. Eligible tasks include:

Low-voltage wiring and installations
Basic device installations
Assisting licensed subcontractors on job sites
Minor mechanical and technical tasks
Smart home device setup assistance
Security camera mounting and wiring
Cable management and organization

Program Structure & Compliance

Our program is designed to provide valuable experience while maintaining strict compliance with Georgia regulations

Important Program Structure
  • 1.Apprentices do NOT perform any task requiring a state license.
  • 2.All work is supervised according to Georgia apprentice electrical guidelines.
  • 3.Apprentices receive hands-on field exposure under MET Repairs standards.
  • 4.Apprentices work under agency guidelines, not as licensed professionals.
Supervision & Oversight Requirements
  • All apprentice work is performed under direct supervision of experienced MET Repairs technicians or licensed subcontractors
  • Licensed subcontractor oversight is provided for any task approaching licensed work boundaries
  • Apprentices may not work unsupervised on any task involving electrical systems
  • All installations above 50V are strictly prohibited for apprentices
  • Apprentices may not act or advertise as licensed professionals
