MET Repairs operates fully within Georgia state laws and licensing requirements.
We DO Perform
- Low-voltage wiring and systems
- Locksmithing, access control, CCTV
- Electrical tasks permitted for apprentices
We DO NOT Perform
- High-voltage electrical work requiring a state license
- Panel work or new circuit installation
Electrical services requiring a licensed professional are assigned to our verified licensed subcontractor partners.
Bonding: Bonding is not required for most residential or low-voltage projects. As MET Repairs grows into larger commercial contracts, bonding options will be added and publicly updated.
1. Scope of Work
MET Repairs provides locksmith, low-voltage, security installation, and minor electrical services permitted under Georgia regulations. Any service requiring a licensed electrician will be performed by a licensed subcontractor.
2. Compliance
We operate within all applicable state and local laws governing electrical and low-voltage work. MET Repairs does not perform tasks requiring licensing unless assigned to licensed partners.
3. Subcontractors
Some services may be performed by independent subcontractors who meet our verified standards for licensing, insurance, and skill. MET Repairs is not liable for work performed outside the technician's certified scope.
4. Liability
MET Repairs maintains appropriate insurance for the services we provide. Clients are responsible for disclosing pre-existing issues and conditions that may affect installation or service outcomes.
5. Payments & Service Fees
All payments must be settled at time of service unless otherwise agreed. Service fees are non-refundable once work begins.
6. Warranty
Work performed by MET Repairs is covered under a 30-day workmanship warranty unless otherwise stated. Manufacturer warranties apply to all hardware and equipment.
7. Limitations
MET Repairs is not liable for damage resulting from:
- • Previous improper wiring
- • Pre-existing electrical defects
- • Client-provided equipment failures
- • Conditions outside the technician's control
The following terms apply to all subcontractors working with MET Repairs.
1. Licensing & Certification
Subcontractor affirms they hold all required licenses for the services they provide and will only accept tasks within their certified scope.
2. Insurance
Subcontractor must maintain liability insurance and provide proof upon request.
3. Independent Status
Subcontractor is not an employee of MET Repairs and is responsible for taxes, tools, transportation, and legal compliance.
4. Client Interaction
Subcontractor must maintain professionalism, respect, and ethical conduct on all jobs.
5. Job Documentation
Subcontractor agrees to submit photos, notes, and updates for every job before departure.
6. Payment Terms
Payments are distributed within 7–14 business days after job completion and approval.
7. Prohibited Actions
- • Taking jobs outside your license scope
- • Attempting unlicensed electrical work
- • Contacting clients directly for side work
- • Misrepresenting MET Repairs brand
8. Termination
MET Repairs may revoke access for unsafe, unethical, or non-compliant actions.
The following terms apply to apprentices participating in the MET Repairs Apprenticeship Support Program.
1. Role & Scope
Apprentice acknowledges they are participating in supervised tasks only and may NOT perform any work requiring a state license.
2. Compliance
Apprentice agrees to follow:
- • Georgia apprentice electrical guidelines
- • MET Repairs safety protocols
- • All supervision requirements
3. Liability
Apprentice performs tasks under MET Repairs oversight and is not permitted to work independently.
4. Restrictions
Apprentice may not:
- • Work unsupervised on tasks involving electricity
- • Perform installations above 50V
- • Act or advertise as a licensed professional
5. Compensation
Approved tasks are paid at apprentice rates and do not constitute employment unless explicitly stated.
6. Termination
Violation of safety or compliance will result in immediate removal.
